HET PAARD EN DE NACHTEGAAL beleeft internationale première in Amerika

De korte film Het Paard en de Nachtegaal van Nazli Elif Durlu zal deze week haar internationale première beleven tijdens het Hamptons International Film Festival in de Verenigde Staten. De film is onderdeel van de prestigieuze Golden Starfish Awards Competition samen met vier andere korte films. De winnaar krijgt een geldprijs en wordt ingezonden naar de Oscars.De film is op 12 en 13 oktober te zien op het festival, dat plaatsvindt van 10 tot 14 oktober 2013 in East Hampton, New York.

In Het Paard en de Nachtegaal vergezelt de 15-jarige Cihan zijn oma op een reis naar Turkije om een bruiloft bij te wonen. Ze hebben weinig met elkaar gemeen en moeten een dag samen doorbrengen in Istanbul. Ondanks de ogenschijnlijke afstand tussen de twee zijn er toch kleine momenten die ze samen kunnen delen.

De film is een productie van BALDR Film in coproductie met de NTR en is gerealiseerd in het kader van Kort! met financiële steun van het Nederlands Filmfonds, Mediafonds en CoBO. Vorige maand was de Nederlandse première tijdens het Nederlands Film Festival.

The short story The Horse and the Nightingale by Nazli Elif Durlu will have its international premiere during the Hamptons International Film Festival in the U.S.A. The film is part of the prestigious Golden Starfish Awards Competition, together with four other short films. The winner will be awarded with a sum of money and will be submitted to the Oscars.
The film is screening at 12 and 13 October during the festival, which will take place from 10 to 14 October in East Hampton, New York.

in The Horse and the Nightingale Fifteen-year old Cihan accompanies his grandmother on a journey to Turkey, to attend a wedding. They have little in common and have to spend a whole day together in Istanbul. In the face of the apparent distance between these two, they still manage to share little instants together.
