Two wins for THE GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS at Filmfestival Oostende

The Garden of Earthly Delights takes home the UFC-UCC Critics Award and the Special Mention LOOK! Competition Award at this year’s Filmfestival Oostende (FFO)!

Within the LOOK! competition the film received a special mention by the jury. His debut film left them speechless. “The Garden of Earthly Delights dares to look where we often look away. The film uses aesthetics as a confrontation and creates a visual experience that lingers long afterward.”

In addition to a special mention in the LOOK! competition, Morgan Knibbe’s The Garden of Earthly Delights also received the UFK-UBFP Press Jury Prize, awarded annually by the Union of Film Critics (UFK).

The film press was unanimous: “The Garden of Earthly Delights is an uncompromising and contemporary cinematic drama that sharply and dizzyingly focuses on the bleak world of repulsive mass prostitution, crime, exploitation, and corruption in the unsafe and overcrowded slums and red-light districts of the Philippines.”
