Best Television Drama for HORIZON and Best Actress for IN VRIJHEID

During the Netherlands Film Gala we received two Golden Calves, the Dutch Academy Award.
Horizon was awarded for Best Television Drama and In Vrijheid was awarded Best Actress for Nazmiye Oral.

Horizon is about 16 year old Lieke who is passionate and just lost her mother.
The film is directed by Giancarlo Sanchez and written by Jaap Peter Enderlé. Main characters played by Susan Radder (Kauwboy, Adam en E.v.a.) and Tijn Docter (Ik omhels je met 1000 armen, Overspel) were nominated for a Golden Calf.

In Vrijheid is about a mother (Nazmiye Oral) who is reunited with her son (Ali Sultan) when he returns from Syria.
The film is directed by Floor van der Meulen and written also by Jaap Peter Enderlé and was nominated for Best Television Drama.

Both films are produced by BALDR Film within One Night Stand, a initiative of the Public Broadcasters NTR, VARA, VPRO and the Dutch Cultural Media Fund, Netherlands Film Fund and CoBO to stimulate new talent.
