ALL WE IMAGINE AS LIGHT receives two Golden Globe nominations
Payal Kapadia’s Cannes-Winning All We Imagine As Light received a nomination in the Best Motion Picture – (Non-English Language). Payal Kapadia also won a nomination in the Best Direction (Motion Picture). After winning the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, All We Imagine As Light has been also shortlisted by France to represent the country at the Oscars 2025.
At the Golden Globes, All We Imagine As Light will compete with Emilia Perez (France), The Girl With the Needle (Poland), I’m Still Here (Brazil), The Seed of the Sacred Fig (US) and the Vermiglio (Italy) in the ‘Best Non-English Language Motion Picture’ category.
In the Best Director category Payal Kapadia will compete with alongsideJacques Audiard forEmilia Pérez, Sean Baker for Anora, Edward Berger for Conclave, Brady Corbet for The Brutalist and Coralie Fargeat for The Substance.
Kapadia in a statement said she was “deeply honored by this nomination and grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for this recognition. This is a celebration of everyone who worked so passionately on the film.“
